A table changes while the Clinical Summary is being drafted. The writer needs to check the numbers, preserve the review comments, and decide what to regenerate. Those decisions are part of the writing work.

The upcoming AuroraPrime RMA 2026.10.31 release focuses on that work around generation. For medical writers, regulatory teams, and chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) authors, this pharma AI authoring platform update brings more explicit preparation and review points into the document workflow. Here are selected changes to prepare for.

At a glance

  • Review draft inputs and study information before generation.

  • Keep table, figure, and listing (TFL) summaries and document updates easier to inspect.

  • Complete CMC draft formatting and explore the new preview workflows.

A clearer start in the pharma AI authoring platform

Writers will be able to create a project with or without a Project Scaffold, then start from a template or continue with the current document. A prepared project remains useful when its folders and templates fit the assignment. A document already in progress gets a route forward too.

The unified initial-draft workflow will group section content and TFL summaries under their document sections for configuration. The steps shown depend on document type. For Agentic Generation, supporting documents and an optional writing example have separate fields, leaving additional prompts for writing instructions.

Clinical Summaries start with the study information

For the Summary of Clinical Efficacy (Module 2.7.3) and Summary of Clinical Safety (Module 2.7.4), RMA will analyze the associated documents before generating the structure. Writers review pivotal and supportive studies, pooled analyses, and submission information, then add requirements for the outline and generation. The pivotal Clinical Study Report (CSR) no longer needs to be marked explicitly during document selection.

After reviewing the outline, you can reopen the questions and revise the study information. Regenerate refines the current structure using those revisions and your edits. Start Over builds a new structure from the revised information and sections already present in the document.

Keep TFL updates visible

Clinical Summary data summaries will move into a dedicated TFL Summary tab. Its generation and data-only update actions follow the CSR workflow. Data-only updates will also retain comments and highlighting more consistently, including when Track Changes is enabled.

In Edit View, writers can keep a specified number of leading table rows visible while filtering the remaining data. Participant totals, for example, can stay in the table while you narrow the detail below them. Compatible TFL synchronization and view edits can show tracked revisions when both Update with Track Changes and In-text First are selected.

Give CMC drafts a whole-document finishing step

For Quality (Module 3) and Quality Overall Summary (QOS, Module 2.3), the release adds finalization after offline generation completes for all content controls. Configured placeholders are filled in headings, headers, and footers; tables identified as wide are placed on landscape pages; caption numbering and cross-references are set up. Writers still need to review table orientation and update fields when opening the DOCX in Word.

Before web generation starts, a confirmation dialog asks writers to recheck product names and related project parameters. The CMC Writer view also brings upload, analysis, generation, and writing status together. These are useful checkpoints: a polished draft still depends on the right project details and prepared material.

Review, verification, and safety previews

The portal review preview will let teams divide a document into review blocks, assign authors and reviewers, and work through a review plan. It requires Enable review in the project settings. AI identifies potential issues for reviewers to assess; writers address comments and submit revisions.

The Data Verification preview will compare document tables with supporting documents and let reviewers inspect matches and mismatches. It is intended for table checks; figure verification is not yet validated. Results belong to a particular document version.

Safety previews cover template preparation in the portal followed by drafting in the Word add-in for Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs), Periodic Benefit-Risk Evaluation Reports (PBRERs), and Risk Management Plans (RMPs). An updated RMP requires the previous version as an input.

Questions about the October release

Do writers need a Project Scaffold?

No. The upcoming release lets you create a project without one and continue with the current document or choose a template. Scaffold-based projects use templates from their Target folder; projects created without a scaffold use Content Management. Choose the starting point that fits the assignment.

Will initial-draft generation record tracked changes?

Initial-draft content is inserted directly without tracked changes. Later replacement and TFL update behavior depends on the action and document settings. For tracked TFL synchronization, select Update with Track Changes and In-text First; review the detailed exceptions in the release documentation before updating content with unresolved revisions.

How is the table-verification preview enabled?

Data Verification is enabled by default for Quality and QOS projects. Other project types can turn it on through Enable data verification in project settings. Use the preview for table checks and inspect the results against the associated documents; figure verification is not yet validated.

Plan your next authoring round

For a pharma AI authoring platform, the handoff between a generated result and a document someone can review deserves attention. This release puts more of that work in view. Pick a Clinical Summary or CMC workflow your team knows well, and use it to discuss the upcoming changes.
