AlphaLife Sciences, a company focused on the intelligent clinical research platform in the life sciences field, announced that its CEO, Ms. Xiao Chen (Sharon Chen), has been selected as one of Forbes China's Top 20 Promising Businesswomen for 2023. The list recognizes women who have made significant contributions to their respective industries and have demonstrated strong growth potential.

AlphaLife is dedicated to creating a next-generation clinical research SaaS platform that leverages cloud computing, big data, and AI to enable efficient trial design, data management, and operations in life sciences research. The platform ensures consistency in clinical data, enhances trial design and execution efficiency, controls cost, and accelerates the commercialization of innovative drugs and medical devices. The company raised over 100 million RMB and tens of millions of dollars in A and A+ rounds in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Before joining AlphaLife, Sharon worked for Google for 15 years, where she held various positions, including software engineer at Google's headquarters, Engineering Site Lead of Google Shanghai, and general manager of Verily China (a start-up focused on life sciences under Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company). Sharon received her bachelor's degree in automatic control from Shanghai Jiaotong University and her master's degree in computer science from Texas A&M University in the United States.

The recognition of Sharon's achievement reflects the changing perception of women's roles in business and technology. In China, where gender equality is more pronounced than in other Asian countries, more women leaders are expected to emerge and make significant contributions to the economy. The impact of these women is immeasurable, and the future is bright.
